Nous avons beaucoup aimé l'accueil reçu du propriétaire des lieux, toujours attentif à notre bien-être.Il a su nous donner de très bons conseils pour les visites à faire et la gastronomie à découvrir. L'azienda était charmante et reposante... Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir prendre nos petits-déjeuners sur la terrasse. Notre petite cocker a été chaleureusement accueillie.

Seul point négatif : machine à laver en panne... mais ce n'est qu'un petit détail.

Ne manquez pas d'aller découvrir la très agréable ville de Castellina in Chianti, fort sympathique !

“Entspannen mitten im Nirgendwo mit tollem Pool”

Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten die Wohnung Il Melo. Jede Wohnung hat einen eigenen Garten, der von den anderen mit Büschen getrennt ist. So ist man ungestört. Die kleine Küche war gut ausgestattet, das Bett sehr weich, aber bequem. Es ist allerdings nur ca. 120 cm breit. Der große Pool ist wirklich toll und da es insgesamt nur 3 Wohnungen gibt, hat man ihn quasi für sich. Zur Schotterpiste, die zum Gut führt: Man muss auf dieser ca. 5 Minuten ab der Abzweigung von der Straße von Casellina nach Poggibonsi fahren. Die Piste ist gut zu befahren. Wir hatten mit unserem Mietwagen keine Probleme! Und der Vorteil der Abgeschiedenheit ist, dass es wirklich sehr ruhig ist!

“Country perfection ”

This is a rural idyll. Good facilities, fabulous views, charming hosts, excellent location with plenty of nearby villages and cities to explore.

A must see is Vertine an old castle turned into a village - a hidden gem, as well as Radda in Chianti.

La chambre n'était pas propre du tout. des toiles d'araignées partout, des housses de fauteuil sales, le ménage n'est pas fait correctement...non acceptable et il n'y a pas d'Internet dans la chambre contrairement à la description dans Agriturismo.net

cadre et vues incroyables Bien situé proche du chouette village de Castellina, mais au calme au milieu des oliviers et vignes Logement et pergola indépendants : nous avons eu le sentiment d'être "chez nous"! Coin piscine très agréable Fabrizzio était très agréable et nous a donné de bons conseils.

Il y avait un nid de frelon dans la cheminée lorsque nous sommes arrivés avec plusieurs frelons dans la maison. Mais Fabrizzio a fait le nécessaire assez rapidement pour résoudre le problème. Le wifi ne fonctionne pas a l'intérieur de la maison. Seulement au bord de la piscine ou pres de la maison des propriétaires.

Le vin de la propriété est à conseiller!! Un très bon rapport qualité prix Allez vous promener dans la propriété. C'est magnifique!!

Au coeur de la toscane, au milieu des oliviers, vignes et cyprès. A 4km de Castellina in Chianti, l'endroit est très calme et offre de nombreux coins pour se reposer ou déjeuner en toute intimité. Fabrizzio est de bon conseil pour visiter la région ou acheter des produits locaux. Son vin et son huile d'olives sont exceptionnels ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.. “Superbe site, dépaysement total, propriétaires adorables et beaucoup de belles choses à voir”

Grande piscine, cadre magnifique, très tranquille.

Météo un peu capricieuse mais qui n'a pas gâché les vacances

Le village de Castellina, à 4 km du logement, est de taille idéale (tous commerces) et très joli. C'est une excellente situation pour rayonner en Toscane.

“Absolute Relaxing”

The Viehs are terrific. Chairs and tables around the area allow beautiful sights in all directions at every Time of the Day. The apartments are fully equipped and in a very good shape. All products from the farm, wine, olive oil and grappa, are delicious.

The unpaved road and rainy whether resulted in our vehicle colour turning from black to red over the week.

Un très bel environnement, une superbe piscine,des propriétaires charmants, un personnel de maison très attentionné. Bel accueil.

Pour accéder à la propriété, vous devez emprunter un chemin de terre, (1km300) très raide et bosselé, avec des ornières. Pour les voitures délicates ainsi que les dos et les cervicales fragiles, s'abstenir. Ce n'est pas un problème lié au propriétaire mais à la mairie. Deuxième point noir : absence de table pour manger dans le studio. En cas de pluie, il vous faut manger dehors ou assis sur 2 fauteuils de lecture....

Ce studio équipé d'une table et de 2 chaises permettrait de manger à l'intérieur les jours de froid ou de pluie. Quelques crochets dans la salle de bains seraient pratiques pour suspendre les vêtements. Une barre pour suspendre les torchons de cuisine apposée sur les meubles de cuisine serait également agréable.

“Owners very friendly and the scenery spectacular. ”

Greeted by two friendly cats for breakfast on our private patio overlooking the vineyards and olive groves of this lovely home in the hills of Tuscany. Very peaceful. Beautiful pool. About 5 Km from nearest town and convenient driving distances to the famous hill towns. Owners Eva and Fabrizzio provided a fine welcome.

Bed was a bit firm--but we used the comforter for an additional mattress pad and it worked out ok. Ask for extra pillows too. Kitchen area small, but useable.

Recommend using a GPS system for finding the place and getting around on the back roads.

Beautiful setting and close to enchanting village of Castellina in Chianti. Owners very friendly.

We stayed in Il Melo, a studio suite. It was comfortable, and clean, however the furnishings were tired and the grassy patio area needed a clean up. It appeared little effort was made to keep up what really is a gem. We travelled in October, perhaps not the best time to visit. We were the only guests.

Spend time in Castellina, it is absolutely beautiful. Likewise Radda in Chianti. We fell in love with this picturesque region.

Our apartment had A/C. Unexpected and delightful! Pool, grounds, photo ops were fantastic. The owners were so accommodating, interesting and helpful.

The room could have been cleaned better. Cob webs and dust accumulation indicated that cleaners are very short and near-sighted. Also, a 5 minute whipper-snipper job would have made our garden/terrace/eating/lounging area much more enjoyable.

This accommodation is worthwhile for its close proximity to Castellina alone. What a gem of an old high country village! Photo and dining ops abound. Don't miss dining at del Torre (in the high square below the tower). Many, many established vineyards very close by for tours. Easy and picturesque drive to Sienna, Florence and even Pisa and Viareggio.

“Un séjour relaxant dans un cadre idyllique”

très bel emplacement dans une région superbe calme et quiétude du lieu grande propriété avec peu de vacanciers disponibilité et gentillesse de Rudica en l'absence des propriétaires

température de la piscine 23, 24° , un peu dommage car on n'en a peu profité pas de système "anti- moustiques" dans l'appartement et le moustiquaire de la chambre était troué et réparé avec du papier collant

La cotation donnée ( bien/excellent ) ne reflète pas la réalité du séjour car la cotation ( très bien ) manque . Les cotations " bien " sont en réalité " très bien " mais pas excellentes. Très belle région à découvrir à l'aise et quelques bons, très bons restaurants Osteria Re Gallo, Osteria Alla Piazza , Locanda di Pietracupa .. le soir, à la terrasse un excellent repas avec un coucher de soleil sur les vignes et oliviers environnants ....

“Wonderful Tuscan villa”

The apartment is very spacious and well appointed with a large sitting area ,dining table and comfortable beds perfect for a family of four, Eva and Fabrizio were very friendly, knowledgable hosts who went out of their way to help us, nice rustic private outdoor setting under pergola close to pool, Pool is very clean and a good size, great base to visit towns such as San Gimignano, Sienna and Panzano, nice olive oil and wine produced on premises which Fabrizio let us taste, breath taking scenery

The kitchen is very small. Wifi not very good inside but adequate outside villa.

Castillina in Chianti, the village about a 7 min drive from the property has some nice restaurants and shops to check out. We wished we had spent more time exploring the village. Visit San Gimignano, climb the bell tower as the views are breath taking. Sienna is another place you must visit, the cathedral was the most spectacular one we'd ever seen through out Europe. Panzano is a small, quaint town worth a visit, especially when its market day. I had heard about the famous "mad butcher" Mario Cecchini, so we went to his butcher store out of curiousity. They serve you complimentary red wine as you enter and you can sample salami and their flavoured lard on crusty bread both surprisingly tasty. For lunch we ate at Ristorante Oltre il giardino, the views from the terrace are gorgeous and food is nice. We all enjoyed the wild boar parpadelle. We also stumbled across another restaurant, up before the church at the top of the hill, Il Vinaio-Enoteca Pub( Via Santa Maria, 22, Panzano) has awesome views from a small terrace. It's a very rustic, intimate restaurant which is very reasonably priced.

It's located in the heart of the Tuscany and Chianti region so there are lots of places to visit using this as a home base once you navigate the 1.7 km gravel and potholed road off the main road.

I wouldn't recommend staying here and trying to go to Florence as it's impossible to drive into Florence because of parking and Limited Zone areas so you have to drive to Poggibonsi and then take a train. You will spend 1.5 hours traveling to Florence and the same back, plus drive down the treacherous road.

The apartments are very basic and have no amenities so expect to buy supplies for your stay. It's very quiet and the surrounding area is beautiful. The Owners try to be unobtrusive to a fault. However, if you ask about the area, they are happy to recommend places to see.

Commentaar van de Eigenaar We are sorry that resentment dimmed reasoning. The roads in the Chianti region are all difficult, but it is not the the owners fault if the city has no means to repair them. The distance between our Farmhouse and Florence is about 50 min. by car, there are plenty of possibilities to park in Florence, one just has to ask. Of course, by train it takes much longer, but it you choose to walk, it would take 2-3 days... Our farmhouse is fully equipped and is absolutely not basic, has a fully equipped kitchen, all amenities one can wish. “Un séjour magnifique”

Nous étions deux personne d'environ 50 ans à moto. Nous avions la petite chambre. Notre séjour a été magnifique. le gîte est idéalement situé, à mi chemin entre Sienne et Florence.Les infrastructures du gîte étaient géniale.La piscine très grande et agréable. Les propriétaires étaient absolument charmants tout en étant très discret. Nous avons réellement passé des vacances inoubliables et la qualité irréprochable de l'hébergement y a beaucoup contribué.

Les propriétaires n'y peuvent rien. L'accès au gites est très difficile. en sortant de la route goudronnée on doit faire environ 1,5 Km sur un chemin de terre très raide par endroit et très défoncé. La route n'est pas praticable pour des voitures basses (sportives ou avec spoiler) ou des motos routières lourdes. Pour des véhicules standard, c'est possible en allant lentement. Il serait important que les autorité de Castellina prennent conscience que de liasser à l'abandon des route de cette manière, nuit à l'image de la Toscane et ruine les efforts des personnes qui travaillent à faire connaitre la région.

Prenez de la lotion anti moustique et un diffuseur, les moustique sont affamés dans la région. Castellina possède une Gelataria fantastique... ne la ratez pas. Bien entendu ne ratez pas non plus le vin et l'huile d'olive de vos hôtes, c'est tout simplement excellent.

Très bien situé entre Florence et Sienne, au coeur du Chianti. Piscine, terrasse et points de vue superbes.

Les photos de l'appartement Lauro apparaissant sur internet ne sont pas représentatives, particulièrement dans le cas de la chambre. L'appartement est plus vieux que l'indication "récemment rénové" ne le laisse croire. La salle de bain en particulier bénéficierait d'un rajeunissement. Mais ça demeure un agrotourisme, donc il ne faut pas non plus s'attendre à un hotel urbain 5 étoiles!

Prévoyez au moins une demi-journée pour profiter de l'emplacement (piscine, terrasse, alentours), même si votre séjour est court.

Sunsets were beautiful. The outside common areas were lovely and provided excellent views of the surrounding contryside. The washing machine worked well and the clothes line was very handy. The support staff were very responsive to all requests. Owners and support staff are unobtrusive (you are on your own).

Only one window had a screen and it had holes in it allowing mosquitos to come in. To allow more air into the unit, a screen door on the front door would be useful. 4 lightbulbs in the living room were burnt out and were not replaceable by the support staff (an electrician is required).

Be prepared for the condition of the non-paved access road. Castillina in Chianti is a charming village and deserves a leisurely visit. Don't miss the Brunello and Nobile wines of the area!

A Perfect setting for a romantic holiday. We stayed in the largest of the apartments for 2 weeks in comfort. The owners and their staff where courteous and did not intrude in our personal space, even when we used the common areas of the grounds. Le point de due du haut de leur colline est magnifique.

The owners Fabrizio and Eva are delightful and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Thank you so much to you both. The location was idyllic, set in the rolling Tuscan hills amongst a working vineyard. The wine, olive oil and Grappa produced here are of a very high standard. 15 minute drive to the beautiful Castellina in Chianti and right in heart of Tuscany.

Rooms inside were extremely hot with no air conditioning, however the owners gave us a fan for the bedroom. It was an unusually hot Summer. Our accomodation (Lauro apartment) was a little cramped for our needs with the toddler, however would have been great if we were just a couple. Next time we will book the larger 'Pergola' apartment.

“A place to remember”

Castellina in Chianti 48 is a wonderful place to stay during the summertime. We enjoyed the wonderful swimming pool and enjoyed watch beautiful animals. Such as a fox, lizards and birds. Our appartement came with a lovely garden, where we had our meals. It looks and feels like a picture perfect holiday home.

There were a lot of musquitos and the weather was hot. Still we didn't dare to open the windows because there were holes in the musquito nets. It would feel more comfortable if that was fixed.

An idea for a perfect day: On sunny days, visit nearby towns before sunrise and enjoy the hot hours at Castellina in Chianti 48 near the cool swimming pool. In the evening cook a simple meal and enjoy this with a glass of wine while wathcing a fox playing in the garden...

Deux semaines superbes dans cette résidence très bien située pour visiter la région. Nous avions loué les 2 gîtes contigus Lauro + Mello. Sienne et Florence sont à moins de 30 minutes et les merveilleux villages et vignobles du Chianti à perte de vue. Un véritable plaisir de rentrer au calme après des visites et de profiter de la piscine et du jardin. Castellina, le village, situé à 3 minutes en voiture est charmant et regorge de bonnes petites adresses. En plus de faire d'excellents vins et une huile d'olive savoureuse, les propriétaires sont des hôtes attentionnés et très respectueux et attentifs à votre confort. Tout à fait le genre d'adresse que l'on voudrait garder secrète pour y trouver toujours de la place !

Demandez aussi à Rodica, qui assiste les propriétaires, de vous préparez un repas sur la terrasse. Elle veillera sur vous comme sur ses enfants !

Beautiful setting with lovely outdoor dining and relaxing area (with attractive tenting that can be untied in case of rain or hot sun)overlooking the hills of Tuscany. Lovely staff who were helpful when needed but gave us complete privacy as well. Nice pool.

We needed to buy a large fan for one unit but other unit fans were adequate. Owners reimbursed us for it. Kitchens are tiny with limited meal preparation space but we managed fine.

Navigating the countryside was challenging but adventurous, even with a GPS. We should have asked our hosts for precise directions more often than we did. We had a professional chef with us so did not have a chance to taste the local fare.

“Fabulous accommodations in a perfect location!”

Castellina in Chianti is an absolutely lovely town, and this place is just a 5 minute drive from the "main town". The views are spectacular--and the grounds are gorgeous. The pool is bigger than I expected (and is very clean!), and there are many areas to just sit, sip wine, read, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The owners were fantastic, and their house red wine was terrific. I can't wait to go back!

Everything was great! If I had ONE slightly negative comment, it is that when they washed my laundry (for one whopping euro!), they used too much soap and some of our items had soap marks on them. But come on--they did my laundry!!! So I overlook this!

Make sure you spend some time in the actual town of Castellina in Chianti. It is wonderful--and if you only drive by, you'll completely miss it, so be sure to park and walk around. The art store in the "tunnel" is terrific. If you like meat, make sure you drive to Penzano and visit the famous Butcher--FANTASTIC food, and an unforgettable experience. Make sure you book in advance! This location is perfect to visit all the major cities--and San Gimignano was by far my favorite!

The location in the Chianti was great. The people were friendly everywhere we went to in the area. The people on site were very helpful with recommendations. The views from the house were very nice.

The 1km road from the villa to the main road was not so fun to drive on. A lady who worked on site was a bit to personal with my lady and made her uncomfortable.

I would buy all my food at the local grocery stores and markets. The restuarants charge a good deal for the same steak you get at the store for a fraction of the price. If you stay here I would bring my own charcoil. They had some while I was there... but I felt like I was imposing a bit. I wouldn't recommend bringing a pregnant woman with all the turns to get there.

Je m'adresse ici aux québécois qui ont suivi Josée di Stasio. Et bien ne cherchez plus et n'ayez aucune crainte, vous venez de trouver un petit coin de paradis en Toscane. L'agritourisme est situé à quelques minutes de Castellina in Chianti, charmant petit village. Et que dire du vignobe en lui-même. Le matin au réveil le paysage vous émerveillera. Nous avions l'appartement Lauro. Tout était parfait. Les hôtes sont charmants et vous enseigne très bien les villages environnants. C'est le genre d'adresse que l'on voudrait garder secrète. Partez confiant et réservez une journée de plus pour le repos et pour profiter du vignoble.

Nous aurions voulu y demeurer plus longtemps.

Il est préférable d'arriver de clarté pour la première fois.

They reply, they have not enough money for the upkeep of all the roads. The pool is not heated? Do the tourists have an idea about the difficulty and costs of heating such a large pool? Pools are not heated in Tuscany apart from a few large establishments.

“Amazing find in Chianti!”

We loved pretty much every aspect of this place, from the big amenities (beautiful, large swimming pool), to the small touches (amazing coffee and the kindest owners, who even left us fresh figs on our patio table). The views were stunning, and we woke up every morning to the sounds of birds and nothing else. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us advice on where to eat and where to take (beautiful) country walks to, to see the area by foot. Even when we moved on to Rome, we wished we'd stayed at this agriturismo the entire time. The ground are lovely, the apartment cute and comfortable, the nearby towns charming and the scenery absolutely gorgeous. We are definitely going back the first chance we get. I cannot recommend anywhere I've stayed with less reservation--this place is really a gem.

Beautiful peaceful positions, great grounds around the house, wonderful sweemingpool with swollows diving down for water. Very welcoming and helpful owners.

The room was very hot with little air and no airconditioning. The larger rooms are probably better.

A great position for traveling in Toscana and Chianti, in the heart of the higher area, cooler at summer nights. Castellina is a beautifull village, felt like our home in Toscany after a day.

Wohnung nicht ganz perfekt ausgestattet. Es fehlte z. B. eine "typisch italienische" Kaffeemaschine. Normale aber vorhanden.

“The location is great: you can drive up to lots of little tophill towns for day-trips! The accomodation is quite modest for a north american tourist but it left good memories anyway. ”

Beautiful scenery

Not easy to find.

If the room was refurnished and refurbished, it would be a perfect stay for someone who wants to get lost in Toscany!

“House and surroundings are really beautiful. Owners were very nice people and very helpful. I hope they are doing well! We will stay there again for sure. Actually we tried once but it was booked”

We have been offered a bottle of wine and bottle of olive oil that where produced on the farm, fire wood for the fireplace and beautiful white rose was in the vase on the table.

I would go there when olives are harvested, beginning of November. I’d like to see how they are picked and how olive oil is made.

The acommodation was okay, the setting was lovely. Pool was good and surrounding views were beautiful. Local town lovely!

Very unfriendly owner who seemed to regard her guests more as a hassle than a pleasure. We were not made to feel 'at home' at all.

Don't sit at the beautiful round table on the terrace over looking the gorgeous views - you'll be shouted at by the owner!

“The view from the house was stunning, and the beutiful pool was a welcome respite from busy days of seeing sites.”

Close to many interesting villages; relaxing scenery, hilltop breezes, access to a washing machine

A drain in the main shower became clogged, but this was handled well by the owners. The single beds on the second floor are essentially on a long, narrow balcony overlooking the living area.

Visit the shops and restaurants in Castellina in Chianti and the wine-tasting venue in the town.
