“Daniela and her daughter were very helpful during our stay. We stayed there 9 years ago, liked it, and returned for another stay. It is a converted farmhouse in the middle of the Chianti grape and olive region. A perfect Tuscany visit.”

Do not rent a car at the Florence terminal. Dropping it off is extremely confusing, as the GPS does not work among the tall buildings. Beware of restricted driving zones. The rental companies get notified via the street cameras of violations. They get 50 Euros for informing the government. You will then get a 100 Euro bill from the local government (our were received 13 months later from Florence and Pisa). Florence mails out 1,000 a day world-wide? A scam.

The room was very clean and in excellent condition. Nice people as hosts!

Bad shower, absolute nighmare. Wifi connection very slow. Only the daughter of the family speaks decent english so when she's not around you won't get much advice or answers to your possible questions.

Joli gite ,belle décoration,bien situé au cœur du Chianti .

eau alimenté par pompe provenant du puits située en sous-sol du gite. Ce qui entraine pour chaque besoin d'eau la mise en route très bruyante même pendant la nuit de cette pompe très désagréable.Isolation phonique très imparfaite entre les deux gites mitoyens

San Casciano petite ville très agréable située entre Florence et Sienne.

L'agrotourismo se trouve en pleine nature, au milieu des vignes et oliviers. La maison est arrangée avec goût, et confortable (deux grandes chambres avec salle de bain chacune, cuisine-salle à manger plus petite mais agréable-terrasse). Daniella, l'hôtesse est à la fois discrète et prévenante. Nous avons été ravis de ce séjour et conseillons vivement le lieu aux personnes éprises de calme et de nature. Les lieux touristiques sont proches.

Il faut accéder à l'agrotourismo par un petit chemin reocailleux (500 m).

The kitchen facilities were very good. Plenty of pots, pans and utensils because we wanted to do our own cooking. Loved the outdoor table with its view.

It was very hot and although the villa seemed set up for cold winters, some air conditioning or a fan would have been appreciated.

There is a great little trattoria at on the San Casciano side of Metacale. People should go there. The food is great and plenty of it. Staff very helpful too.

Commentaar van de Eigenaar I'm glad you enjoyed the apartment and the wonderful view over the gentle collline Chianti. The farm is located at 400 meters above sea level and there is always good ventilation. Â The warm unfortunately, this year, has been very intense and probably the two fans at your disposal were insufficient. Thank you for your good company and I hope to see you soon.

Commentaar van de Eigenaar Merci Dominique pour votre commentaire.Je suis heureux que vous avez apprécié l'appartement avec sa vue et que vous avez pu profiter de l'emplacement idéal pour visiter tous les plus beaux endroits de la Toscane.Le chemin de terre court pour accéder à la ferme, après la saison d'hiver, malheureusement, est un peu bosselé. L'entretien que normalement à ce moment aurait du etre dejà réalisé, cependant, en raison de problèmes de la municipalité, n'a pas encore été effectué. J' espère que vous étiez en mesure de faire un bon limoncello avec les citrons que je vous ai donnés et que vous avez apprécié la confiture. J'espère aussi de vous voir bientôt.

Le logement est très bien situé dans le triangle d'or Florence - Sienne - San Gimignano. Accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire Daniela. Petites attentions de sa part durant notre séjour (fraises du jardin, c'était la saison, et vin de la propriété).

Le chemin d'accès qui peut rebuter et n'est certaiement pas carrossable pour certains véhicules trop bas, cette remarque est récurente dans tous les commentaires. Côté chambre le logement Le Rostre possède une fenêtre haute en demi-lune que l'on ne peut pas occulter ce qui provoque un réveil très matinal dès le lever du jour (à 5 heures du matin nous étions aux jours les plus longs de l'année fin mai-début juin).

La propriétaire Daniela nous a proposé un soir un repas italien simple mais excellent que l'on n'a pas retrouvé dans les restaurants de Greve in Chianti, c'est dire.

Le ménage nous a été facturé (pour deux nuits) sans information au préalable et sans possibilité pour nous de le faire nous même...malgré une chambre sale à notre arrivée sans papier toilette. une cloison simple (plaque de contreplaquée dans la porte qui sépare la maison en deux pièces) nous sépare des autres occupants !

Commentaar van de Eigenaar Mme Anne je suis heureuse que vous avez apprécié le magnifique paysage que les doux collines du Chianti peuvent donner avec les magnifiques couchers de soleil, les vignes et d'oliviers soignées à perte de vue. Le territoire est agricole, et aussi les maisons en pierre et le mobilier. Je suis désolé que vous n'avez pas aimé le décor de la chambre des maîtres où vous avez séjourné. La chambre est meublée avec des antiquités et de la porte de contreplaqué, dont vous mentionnez dans votre commentaire, on l'a ajoutée lorsque vous avez réservé la chambre au lieu de l'appartement complet. Ce panneau est insonorisé et couvre une porte de Lucca 700 et il est installé afin d'éviter d'entendre aucun bruit venant de l'appartement d'à côté. Le panneau est recouvert par un rideau juste pour faire le décor toute gracieuse. Je suis également désolée que bien qu'il y avait de nombreux contacts avec vous, vous n'avez pas simplement demandé de fournir la salle de bains avec du papier toilette que, probablement, après le nettoyage et la désinfection de la salle de bains avant votre arrivée, j'ai oublié de mettre .Quant au coût des frais de service de nettoyage final, il est bien indiqué sur le site et a indiqué comme obligatoire pour tous les séjours, comment vous pouvez voir; Je regrette, cependant, que vous n'avez pas trouvé cette information trop claire, je vais donc la spécifier à nouveau au cours de mes futures négociations. . Merci pour votre précieux conseils.

Gite très agréable et calme dans une belle région italienne teintée de diversité. Chaleureux accueil de la propriétaire.

La qualité des revêtements routiers mis à part les autoroutes.......tout comme en France ! Rien a redire sur le gîte.

Pour se rendre à Florence utiliser le bus qui dépose au centre ville. Ne pas oublier de visiter Siene et San Giminiano.

Petite location de rêve en Toscane, située au milieu des oliviers, des vignes et des cyprès. La propriétaire, Daniela et sa famille sont très sympathiques et disponibles malgré leurs activités.La déco nous a beaucoup plu: chambre à coucher très agréable et belle salle de bains. Nous avons quitté cette location avec regrets et nostalgie....

Pour aller visiter Florence, laisser sa voiture au parking de San Casciano et prendre le bus, c'est ce qui est le plus confortable.

Gorgeous farm cottage with a rustic, authentic feel and renovated to comfortable modern standards. It was a good base for day trips out to surrounding villages in the region. A lovely gift of the family's wine.

The surrounding views are breathtaking but you can't actually see them from the outdoor seating area. The small, poorly lit winding roads to the cottage make driving at night difficult.

Make more of the views eg trim hedges.

No tengo nada a comentar.

Si te gusta estar en medio del campo, hacer barbacoa, comer en el jardín, pasear entre las viñas, ver bambis y puercos espines y tener Florencia a 25min te aconsejo esta casa, la propietaria Daniela y su hijo son encantadores y te informaran de lo que desees.

The location is on a hillside in the middle of olive orchards and vinyards, quiet and beautiful. The cottage was comfortable, well maintained and clean, with good facilities for cooking and laundry. Mobile ‘phone reception was good. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The cottage is 10 minutes by car from Mercatale where there is a supermarket and bank, and where one can get the bus to Florence. Bus tickets are available from the cafe in the village piazza. The bus service is inexpensive and efficient, a good way to get to Florence.

Poor drive to the farmhouse, bumpy, out of the way

i did not realize that there would be addiitonal expenses on the rental (tax and cleaning) nas i have found that they are ususallu "up front " costs that I know about.

Domek jest cudowny, pieknie umeblowany starymi meblami, z niesamowitym klimatem. Lokalizacja jest fantastyczna, sprzyjajaca jednodniowym wycieczkom (Florencja, Siena, San Giminiano i inne urocze male miasteczka. Zdecydowanie polecamy.

We felt like we were in the heart of chianti (the house is in a small hamlet), away from the bigger tourist accomodations. We could take walks in the countryside right from our door, and it was a short drive to town for groceries, etc.

Only thing we missed was having laundry. After doing a fair amount of hiking, we needed it!

We used a book called something like \\\'Walking in Tuscany\\\' which provided us with wonderful hikes through small villages/hamlets and farms. As a result, we were able to see parts of Tuscany unavailable by car. Also recommend the town of Greve - the guidebooks made it sound small and somewhat inconsequential, but we found it lovely and just what we needed after a long outing. Again, we were there off season so Greve might be quite crowded in the summer.

“Lovely rural accommodation set in the heart of the Tuscany ”

Our host made us feel most welcome and made our stay a pleasant one

We had hired a car so getting around was no problem.The accommodation is on a farm so the public transport is not nearby.

If you are a wine drinker avoid the large commercial wineries there are many small wine farms with good and well priced wines
