Gasten kunnen daarom genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op het historische centrum en de betoverende sfeer.

Onze appartementen zijn gevestigd in een middeleeuws paleis. Onze appartementen zijn volledig gerestaureerd volgens de normen van het paleis.

Dagen doorbrengen in een sfeer van rust in een oud middeleeuws dorp.

Beschrijving : hier vind je een uitnodiging om terug te keren naar vervlogen tijden door te dromen van de tijd die lui voorbijgaat, terwijl je de natuur en alle antieke getuigenissen bewondert die alleen ons dorp en het omliggende platteland te bieden hebben. Op het plein staat de Stiozzi Ridolfi Paleis (XIV eeuw) met zijn bakstenen gevel en elegante arcades vol terracotta versieringen.

Het paleis : heeft nog enkele middeleeuwse tekenen zoals de ramen en de kantelen.

Het wordt ook samengesteld door de grote deur (XVI eeuw) en door twee torens, een aan de voorkant en de andere aan de Costa Alberti.

Het paleis is volledig gerestaureerd met respect voor de oorspronkelijke structuur. De binnenplaats (XIII eeuw) is erg interessant met zuilen en kapitelen in tufsteen.

De sfeer is elegant en verfijnd en het is mogelijk om hier een zeer rustige vakantie door te brengen. Vlak achter de heuvel ligt een groot park met onder meer de weg die om de muren heen draait en die in 1896 is afgesloten. En het is hier, op dit platteland, dat we in de zomer nog steeds vuurvliegjes in de velden kunnen zien schitteren.

“Vacanze immediately made us welcome. She made sure she explained every part and function of the apartment, then took us out on the street to point out her favorite places to eat, they were good. The site was fantastic, in the old fortified portion of the town. We had great views of the fields and groves from our apartment. There were several eating establishments within walking distance. The closest bar was always ready with an expresso, or gelato, a full meal or even a pizza when we drug in at barbaricly early times wanting something to eat. There are three museum/historic sites just down the street that are well worth the visit. Certaldo 1731 is a great place to relax or to use as a starting point for exploring Tuscany. Walking around Certaldo Alto or Certaldo is no problem and there are many excellent shops for your eating and food preparation needs. There trails as well as a cable car to make the trips up and down the hill easier Parking was not problem.”
